My work as an illustrator has mostly been in editorial illustrations and comics. I am available for illustration work on its own or as a piece of a larger graphic design project. Here is a small selection of my illustration portfolio.

detail illustrations from a non-fiction comic about cuttlefish mating — This is a portion of a non-fiction graphic novella exploging the mating and fighting habits of giant Australian cuttlefish. Written by science journalist Shanna Baker and drawn by me. *Hakai Magazine* published. See the full comic here: Cuttlefish Brawl.

Illustration of ship with skull in its exhaust — I made this editorial illustration for the article Searching for Keith in *Hakai Magazine*. The article looks at the disappearance of a fisheries observer off a ship at high sea.

comic of a dolphin eating catifsh — *Hakai Magazine* used this short promotional comic in their newsletter and on social media as supplementary content for the article Dolphins Master Decapitation.

illustration of groupers spawning — This illustration ran in *Hakai Magazine* with the article How Many Countries Does it Take to Save a Fish?. The article is about the Nassau grouper and outlines how poaching across borders thwarts conservation efforts.

Comic about how environment affects the evolution of defences in fish — *Hakai Magazine*‘s weekly newsletter used this non-fiction comic to promote the article As Reefs Disappear, Some Fish Find Themselves Defenseless.

illustration of Calusa village — I made this illustration for *Hakai Magazine* for the article The Fisher Kings. The article follows at archaeologists working on an ancient island constructed from shells by the Calusa who lived there.

Illustration of prehistoric fish — This illustration to accompanied the article Finding Our First Fish in *Hakai Magazine*. The article looks at new discoveries that have provided insights into how fish evolved.

Illustration of Iriomote wild cat in a thicket — I created this illustration for the article The Risky Fame of a Rare Island Wildcat in *Hakai Magazine*. The article explores how tourism is affecting endangered wild cats on Iriomote Island, Japan.
